The Central Northside doesn't announce itself. It doesn't have to. One of Pittsburgh's oldest neighborhoods, it sits just across the river from downtown with Allegheny Commons at its center — a park that has been the neighborhood's front yard since 1867. The Mexican War Streets line its edges with some of the finest preserved Victorian rowhouses in the country. The Andy Warhol Museum is a ten-minute walk. The North Shore stadiums are just beyond that. It's a neighborhood that has been many things to many communities across many generations — and is, once again, exactly where you want to be.
